For me, a timetable really helps to keep me organised, and I know that many of you feel like this too!! However, we need to be realistic, and not everyone's situation will be the same. Therefore, you can play around with the timetable to suit your own circumstances. But, for those of you that like/need order, then I have included timings. NOTE: The Joe Wicks sessions will need to begin at 9 (this will inspire your child to be up and ready for their learning time!)
Timetable for each day:
9am - 9.30. Each day we will be starting with some PE. Joe Wicks (the Body Coach) will be holding free 30 min live sessions (suitable for all ages) on his YouTube channel. Here is an introduction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6r99N3kXME. Complete this each day to get your minds and bodies ready to learn. I will be taking part too!
9.30 - 10.00. Book Talk
I will post a text extract and some questions for each day (via ppt). Read the text remembering to use the VISUALISATION technique. Investigate the vocabulary. Please answer the questions in the blank books that were sent home (or another book if we didn't manage to get your book to you).
10.00 - 10.30. BREAK. Drink a glass of water and have some fruit/vegetables. If possible, have a run around outside/in the garden. You may wish to complete the daily BREAK TIME CHALLENGE that is set for the day.
10.30 - 11.15. MATHS. Complete any tasks in the books that were sent home last week.
Y4s - This will be set by Mr Tyler
Y5s - This will be set by me. Check out the daily Maths ppt.
11.15 - 12.00. ENGLISH
This week we are going to have an apostrophe focus. See the ppt.
12.00 -1.00. LUNCHTIME
Eat your healthy lunch, have some fun and try to get some fresh air (applying social distancing rules). You may want to complete the daily LUNCHTIME challenge.
1.00 - 1.15. SPELLING - WORD OF THE DAY.
1.15 - 2.30. TOPIC

2.30 - 2.45. TIMES TABLE ROCKSTARS
2.45 - 3.00
Read your reading book to a grown up. Grown ups - check for understanding. Ensure your child is familiar with any tricky vocabulary.
3.00 - 3.15. Listen to my sound clip of our CLASS STORY - KENSUKE'S KINGDOM (chosen by you).
3.15. SCHOOL IS OVER FOR THE DAY! Try and end your day with reading your own book.
