In Phase 4, no new graphemes are introduced. The main aim of this phase is to consolidate the children's knowledge and to help them learn to read and spell words which have adjacent consonants, such as trap, string and milk.
In the documents section there are two stories. One is related to the blend of sounds that we have learned today in Phonics, the other is some extra reading containing the blend.
When your child is playing can you give one of the characters a name? Can you write the name of this character on something to incorporate into the play e.g. on an invitation to a party or a passport to go on holiday.
Chilli Challenge: Can you write a sentence about your character e.g. Teddy has a hat.
