Maths
I have created a youtube channel called Miss Pittam, which will contain all of the videos that will help you on your home learning journey.
This week's maths is about 2D (flat shapes) and we are starting with 3 shape stories. Today's is called The Square, click on the link below to see and hear Miss Pittam read The Square:

Activity
Can you be a sculptor and make a shape sculture from recycling and sellotape?
Chilli Challenge - Could you decorate your sculpture with paper shape cut outs? E.g. drawing around a bowl to make a circle, cutting and sticking it on.
Phonics
The phonics powerpoint for the sound 'ar' is linked at the bottom of the page. There are red adult instructions at each step.
Chilli Challenge - Three chilli challenges are at the end of the powerpoint in three levels (mild, spicy and hot) relating to the difficulty.
PARENTS - Please watch the below video about how to robot talk words.
Handwriting Muscle Job
Muscle jobs are challenges to strengthen our writing muscles.
Can you use clothes pegs in your writing hand (held with your thumb and first finger) and see which objects you can pick up around the house?
Chilli Challenge - Can you describe why you think you could or could not pick up an object with the peg?
Physical Development
In addition to Joe Wicks' live PE stream every week day at 9am on his Youtube Channel, here is an amazing yoga video you can do at home today!

Here is a link to yesterday's Joe Wicks PE lesson that you can do any time. LINK
Chilli Challenge - Write down your favourite part of the yoga session.
Art and Craft
Can you draw an amazing picture of yourself on the blank section of your scrapbook, and write your name on the lines underneath?
Chilli Challenge: Can you challenge yourself to write a sentence about yourself?
e.g. I am 5 years old. I like apples.
Adults
Please feel free to explore the website, there are lots of ideas and resources on both the Althorp page and the rest of the School Closure section of the website. I am trying to make all of the learning as fun as possible with a lot of examples, but please go to the 'How Can I Help?' section of the Althorp page, where you can request more support and ask any questions. I am also doing a blog and videos where I read my favourite stories so keep an eye on this website and my new Youtube channel (Miss Pittam).
Please watch this phonics video to support adult robot talking (sounding out) of written words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWcqJUDfv4A
Thank you for your support!
