In Phase 4, no new graphemes are introduced. The main aim of this phase is to consolidate the children's knowledge and to help them learn to read and spell words which have adjacent consonants, such as trap, string and milk.
In the documents section there are two stories. One is related to the blend of sounds that we have learned today in Phonics, the other is some extra reading containing the blend.
Today we are going to look very carefully at a book you have at home. Pick your favourite story book and draw one picture about what happens at the beginning, one for the middle and one for the end.
