In Phase 4, no new graphemes are introduced. The main aim of this phase is to consolidate the children's knowledge and to help them learn to read and spell words which have adjacent consonants, such as trap, string and milk.
In the documents section there are two stories. One is related to the blend of sounds that we have learned today in Phonics, the other is some extra reading containing the blend.
Going back to sentence writing during play, if your child is ready see if they can write a sentence about their character using the word and to connect ideas. E.g. Teddy has a cup and crisps.
If your child is not at this stage yet, continue to encourage 3-5 word sentence writing.
